Namahamade Lodge is a short sail from Ilha de Mozambique situated on the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean.  

Here you will “find your rhythm with nature” exploring the beaches, dunes and nearby mangrove forest.

Our bungalows are nestled in the natural vegetation right on the oceanfront.  The sound of the sea will be your nightly companion.

Our accommodations are basic providing the opportunity to enjoy the environment as it has existed for centuries.
The night sky comes alive with stars that will leave you in awe.  Planets and constellations  jump out at you and moon seems close enough to touch.
Awake with the sun to see mongoose or monkeys passing by in their natural habitat.
Fisherman on there way to and from the sea to gathering it’s harvest. 

Allow one of the locals to take you on a tour through the mangrove forest to a traditional village that still drinks water from the well Vasco da Gama first dug in the 1400’s.

One of the most beautiful beaches in the world and more isolated than you can imagine.  Traditional sailing dhowls will transport you to and from Namahamade in the calm waters of the bay between Cabaceira Pequeno and Ilha de Mozambique.
